Over the past decade, Ivory Coast and Ghana have been Africa's best sides in terms of consistency and pure talent.

Both have qualified for every World Cup since 2006 and regularly reach the latter stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.

On Sunday, they will both be involved in the grandest stage of all at continental level as they contest this year's Nations Cup final.

It comes over 20 years after they played out a scoreless draw in the 1992 final, won by the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire - the only time they have won the tournament.

But it's the resulting penalty shootout that is so memorable as it ended 11-10.

Penalty shootouts are always cruel on the losing side, but they are undeniably compelling for the neutral.

So, Ivory Coast and Ghana ... you know what to do:
