There’s more to come over the next few days, but there’s already been more than enough videos to be worthy of our time. Alongside the inevitable thousand Star Wars parodies, so far the week has seen a whole bunch of fun science, superhero, blockbuster and TV videos released. They haven't even gotten to all the gaming stuff yet.

We’ve embedded some early highlights below. Also, as a suitably geeky bonus feature, there are quite a few secrets on the main YouTube site. For example, go to a video, click the empty space beside it, type ‘1337’ (aka ‘l33t’ or ‘elite’: the tag and language used by many gamers) and have a look at the comments below. If anything, it makes the predictably inane comments that little bit more bearable... Alternatively, search for ‘Use the force, Luke’. Or for a really geeky gag, search ‘Fibonacci’.

Anyway, here’s the best of the bunch thus far:

Slow-Mo Non-Newtownian Fluid on a Speaker

It’s an unwieldy name, but the effects of putting this unusual liquid on a vibrating speaker are hypnotic:

10 Reasons to Love Science

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is due to present an epic remake of the classic Karl Sagan documentary series Cosmos next year. In the meantime, here he introduces ten of the most spellbinding acts of science from the YouTube archives.

What if Batman Drove a Nissan?

A British team make a Batmobile out of an old Nissan car, complete with flamethrower and ejector seat. Why? Because if you could you would.

Breaking Bad musical

We posted this in a standalone post yesterday. It deserves another mention (and, of course, a spolier warning).
