When footballers constantly move from one club to another, very little is ever thought about their families or how they will cope in new surroundings.
Despite a spell at the start of his career at Utrecht, Dutch star Dirk Kuyt made his name at Feyenoord. He only spent three seasons at the club before moving to Liverpool in 2006 where he enjoyed a terrific spell in English football.
Even though he was regularly a feature in Dutch squads under numerous managers, he failed to return to club football there until this summer after a spell in Istanbul with Fenerbache.
Kuyt returned to the Eredivisie and Feyenoord after almost a decade away. His oldest child Noelle, was only born in 2004 so along with the rest of his three children he wanted them to settle back in his homeland.
As part of his return home, a documentary is to be broadcast on Dutch television tonight and it shows the moment where he reveals the news to his children.
