Don't lie - you'd love to have thousands upon thousands of Twitter followers (we'd settle for anyone who'd reply to our tweets - sniff...) but could you handle the bucket load of haters along with your legions of fans?

Some of the most followed people on Twitter appeared on Jimmy Kimmel last night to read out on air a variety of horrible messages of abuse they get sent on a daily - perhaps even hourly - basis.

Highlights include "Katy Perry is the perfect example of fit but f**king annoying as f**k," the swift "Kesha's a crack whore," or best of all: "Pharrell looks like a sewer rat," which is suddenly all we can think about.

It's all in the eyes.
