Back in 1982, Irish tarmac got a taste of a future Formula 1 legend.
The late great Ayrton Senna took to the grid for the Leinster Trophy Race at Mondello Park in a Formula Ford 2000 and in true Senna fashion he passed the chequered flag in first place.
The Brazilian would join Formula under two years later and go on to win three World titles before his untimely death in 1994.
