Given the magnitude and shocking nature of their contents, the Anglo Tapes exposed by Independent.ie have sparked a huge amount of furore.
Featuring Anglo Irish Bank executives laughing and even singing the German national anthem as they showed more than a hint of a casual attitude to the prospect of the bank being nationalised.
And for a while this morning, it seemed as if Fine Gael MEP Jim Higgins had laid into those Anglo executives by telling them to "f*** off" on his Twitter account.
While he acknowledged that he found the tapes to be disgusting, he had to clarify that his account was in fact hacked:

On Vincent Browne last night, Irish Independent political editor Fionnan Sheahan snapped at the TV3 host during a frank exchange between the pair on the subject of the tapes.
The Independent originally released the tapes to the public and after Browne asked him about the timescale in which publication took place, Sheahan accused him of bias towards Independent Newspapers...
