Slow motion might well be one of the oldest cinematographic tricks in the book, but 2014 saw some excellent shots added to the canon of slow-mo movies and TV shows.

Evan Puschak, the Nerdwriter, cut together this gorgeous supercut that splices togather how movies, TV shows and music videos used slow motion in 2014. It's interesting to see how all these different types of films and shows use the same editing effect in different ways.
