Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has officially joined Belgian club Standard Leige on loan until the summer.
The former Barcelona stopper arrived at Old Trafford in January last year - but has hardly featured in the first team.
Valdes has played just twice, making only one start - at Hull on the final day of last season. In an official statement, the club said that the goalkeeper joins four other players in leaving the club this month: Sam Johnstone, Dean Henderson, Kieran O'Hara and Ashley Fletcher.
However, things might not improve all that much for Valdes at Liege, as it seems that one of his new team-mates has already been criticising the deal for the goalkeeper.
According to Four Four Two, midfielder Mathieu Dossevi has questioned whether they needed to sign Valdes at all. Speaking to RTL Sports, he said: "Personally, I am torn. He's obviously a very big player, but that is not the position where we necessarily need reinforcements"
"[Current goalkeeper] Guillaume Hubert is doing well, why do you have to replace him? He showed all his qualities in recent weeks. We have the chance to qualify for the final of the Belgian Cup thanks to him".
