Louis Van Gaal has confirmed that he will look to find roles for Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville at Manchester United.
The former Man United trio assisted Van Gaal's new No 2 Ryan Giggs at the end of last season and at his first press conference as the club's new manager, the former Holland manager said that he will look to keep the former Class of 92 members within the setup.
Van Gaal also hinted at what he will be planning in relation to the playing staff.
"First I want to see the players performing my philosophy. Then I will think about signing players," said the Dutchman, who has a good record when it comes to managing young players.
"I am not always convinced of the experience of players. Clarence Seedorf was 16-years-old and I let him make his debut for Ajax. He was sometimes more experienced than a player of 30-years-old. It is dependent on the personality. You mentioned Wayne Rooney, but there is, for example, Michael Carrick. He is injured, that is in my opinion a big blow because he is an experienced player."
Van Gaal also confirmed that #mufc midfielder Michael Carrick has picked up an injury and will be out for "a long time".

He also said that he will not make any predictions about what he can achieve at the club, adding that he is proud to be continuing his record at top clubs...
