The president of world cycling's governing body, Brian Cookson, believes several indoor sports should be moved from the summer to the Winter Olympics.
The UCI chief has proposed that track cycling, judo and badminton could all join the winter Games programme.
Cookson says it would take the pressure off an "over-heated" summer Olympics with too many sports and facilities.
He thinks it would allow more track cycling events, leading to more medals.
"If we moved track cycling to the winter Olympics and that allowed us to have more track cycling events and more medals then that could be a pretty good outcome," he said.
