Two American students have been suspended from their school after footage showed them appear to deliberately tackle a referee from behind. 

The incident took place in a match between John Jay High School and Marble Falls in Texas. The two players were ejected from the game after tackle and their side lost 15-9 to Marble Falls.

According to the San Antonio Express-News the incident happened in the final minute of the game after the referee had previously sent off another two members of the John Jay High School team.
