There were some unhappy GAA fans on Twitter today in relation to Aidan O'Shea's actions which led to a penalty at a pivotal point in Mayo's qualifier encounter with Fermanagh.
Mayo forward Aian O'Shea looked to have dived as a ball was floated into the Fermanagh penalty area which prompted referee Joe McQuillan to award the former Connacht champions a penalty.
Cillian O'Connor converted the spot kick which swung the momentum back in Mayo's direction and propelled them to a five point win in the end.
And Twitter was not happy with his actions:
@NewstalkSport Disgraceful Aidan O shea, diving all day long conning frees, Mayo simply awful, free to win games sad day for GAA

Back in the day a red card meant players weren't eligible for an All-Star. Should do something similar now with divers like Aidan O'Shea

Aidan O Shea would fit right in at the Euro. The most diving by any GAA player in one game ever. McCann got killed last year for less #GAa

Aidan O'Shea went down easy. That's the product of a season of him getting nothing for being honest when there are 3-4 lads hangin off him.

Aidan O'Shea ruined it all. Some dive #GAA
