It was a particularly hostile encounter between Donegal and hosts Kerry yesterday with cards being doled out like confetti in the first half.
Leo McLoone and Kerry's Alan Fitzgerald were both dismissed in the opening 35 minutes of the National League clash for striking, but it was the incident involving Fitzgerald which generated the most amount of debate with one former Kerry star felling aggreived on behalf of Fitzgerald.
Donegal defender Neil McGee was left with a bloody nose after he was adjudged to have been struck by Fitzgerald but footage from the game portrays a different angle of the altercation.

McGee is seen to have grabbed the Kerry forward's hand in an aggressive manner and the Castlegregory player accused McGee of interfering with his fingers. This is where former Footballer Of The Year Paul Galvin felt, an injustice was done.
After Fitzgerald was sent to the line, Galvin posted a Tweet which uttered zero sympathy for McGee and sided entirely with his fellow Kerry man.

And it wasn't just Galvin, who felt McGee was wrongly victimised in this instance.

Galvin's Tweet sparked ire among Donegal followers and they called him out for his swipe at McGee.
