With the first round of Premier League fixtures done and dusted, managers will begin to have a better idea of their squads and where they need to improve in the coming weeks.

Pep Guardiola sees his goalkeeper as one of the first ports of call as he rebuilds Manchester City in a model of himself.

Rui Patricio has been rumoured to be wanted at the Etihad, but now The Sun report that Barcelona's Claudio Bravo may be on his way to Manchester. Luis Enrique has supposedly accepted a £21.7m for the 33-year-old. Joe Hart missed the opening game of the season against Sunderland and his future is in doubt with this latest piece of news emerging today.

West Brom look to be preparing for life after Saido Berahino as they revise their bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.

The Daily Mail say that Baggies have opted to go in for the striker once again, this time tabling an offer of £21m, still falling £5m short of the valuation placed on him by the Portuguese giants.

Slimani scored 32 goals in all competitions last season for club and country. Berahino has already told West Brom that he intends to see out the final two years off his contract before leaving the club on a free transfer.

Antonio Conte got his tenure as Chelsea manager off to a winning start against fellow Londoners West Ham and he'll be busy putting the final touches on his squad over the next weeks. The Italian see Jonas Hector as a just the man to bolster what looks to a be a formidable defence in the Premier League this season.

The Mirror report that the Germany left back could be prised from FC Koln fro a fee in the region of £20m.

He made 20 appearances for Germany and started every game at Euro 2016, including the quarter-final against Conte when he was in charge of the Italian national side.
