Tottenham midfielder Andros Townsend has withdrawn from the England under-21 squad for next month's European Championships after being charged with breaching betting regulations.

The FA said the 21-year-old will receive "full support in seeking rehabilitation" whilst responding to the allegations.

The Spurs academy product spent the second half of the past season on loan at relegated QPR, and has been given until June 3rd to respond to the charges.
