Chelsea have snatched a late win over Manchester City, with Fernando Torres pouncing on a calamitous mix-up between City keeper Joe Hart and centre half Matija Mastasic to slot the ball into an empty net.

Andre Schurrle had put Chelsea ahead in the first half but Sergio Augero had leveled it up shortly after the break with a superb strike past Petr Cech into the top corner of the Chelsea net.

The win lifts Chelsea into second place in the table, ahead of Liverpool.
