The broadcasting watchdog in the UK is to investigate Top Gear to see if a comment broadcast in a recent episode breaches their standards.
Presenter Jeremy Clarkson made a controversial "slope" comment which received complaints.
In a scene from the show, an Asian man was shown walking along a bridge and Clarkson said: "That is a proud moment, but there's a slope on it," to which co-presenter Richard Hammond replied "You're right, it's definitely higher on that side."
After it was shown, an executive producer apologised for a remark by Jeremy Clarkson, which he said was intended to be "light-hearted".
The programme was filmed in Burma and Thailand and was on our television screens in March of this year.
Media regulator Ofcom has launched a formal inquiry after it received two complaints about the broadcast.
Clarkson has been given a final warning by the BBC following his most recent controversy, using the N-word in an clip that ended up as an outtake.
He apologised claiming he had used the word while reciting the nursery rhyme, Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe.
