There are reports that the ex-Top Gear team have met with ITV bosses to discuss signing a new deal.

The Daily Mirror says Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May went to the home of the director of the channel Peter Fincham earlier this week.

Clarkson's contract wasn't renewed by the BBC in February after he hit a producer.

The BBC plans to relaunch Top Gear with new presenters.
