GAA club action continues today with county finals taking place around the country. Football and hurling finals are up for decision, while in Ulster a provincial hurling champion will be crowned.

The Mayo SFC final between Breaffy and Catlebar Mitchels is on at Elverys McHale Park at 3.30 pm.

Fethard and St. Martin’s will contest the Wexford senior football final at Weford Park at 3.30, while the showpiece of the Wicklow football season is between Blatinglass and Rathnew, in Aughrim at the same time.

Kilkenny hurling’s big day is this year contested between two of the lesser heard names of the county’s club scene, with Carrickshock and Clara contesting the Senior Hurling Final at Nowlan Park. Throw in there is at 3.00.

The provincial action of the day is the Ulster Senior Hurling Final, between Loughiel Shamrocks of Antrim and Slaughtneill of Derry. That throws in at 2.30 at Celtic Park.

The Galway Senior Hurling Final between Portumna and Loughrea, which was due to take place today, has been postponed until tomorrow at 2:45. This is as a mark of respect to inter-county player Niall Donoghue, who died during the week.
