The Television Match Official scheduled for Sunday's meeting of Ireland and England is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed yesterday.

Shaun Veldsman has a hole in his lung after being attacked following the game between Blues and Stormers at Newlands in his native South Africa.

Veldsman, who was stabbed in his car, is said to be in a stable condition at Stellenbosch Medi Clinic.
