Th countdown to the Cheltenham Gold Cup is on and Tiger Roll won today's first race of the day, the Triumph Hurdle.

Trained by Meath-based Gordon Elliott and ridden by Davy Russell, Tiger Roll gave the Irish raiders their seventh winner of the week.

Donn McClean tipped Tiger Roll to win the race ahead of favourite Calipto who finished 

The most recent result was in the Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle, which was won by 11/1 shot Lac Fontana.

The Gold Cup goes to post at 3.20pm.
