Thousands of athletes, alongside the victims of last month’s Boston Marathon bombings, have completed the final mile of the race, which was so brutally cut short on April 15 when two homemade bombs exploded along the final stretch of the marathon route.
Roughly 3,000 people ran the final mile today as part of OneRun, an event set up to honour victims and emergency works, while also giving contestants the chance to run the final mile of the race.
