It was another frsutrating week for Liverpool. Despite enjoying a signifcant majority of posession and creating the bulk of the game"s chances they were left frustrated at home again, as they allowed Newcastle to leave Anfield with a 1-1 draw and a point.

Newstalk"s Oisin Langan spoke to Liverpool legend Phil Thompson this morning to gauge reaction to the draw and the season so far for Brendan Rodgers and his side. Thompson discussed the idea of a plan B for Liverpool, the need for a striker in the side, but not just any striker and Phil gives his ideal shoppiong list for January.  And what about the names already mentioned or available to Rodgers? Thompson worries about the suitability and potential value of both Andy Carroll and Theo Walcott playing at Anfield.
