Shane Long says he felt he got a kick in the head in the penalty incident in Ireland's 3-0 loss to Belgium in Bordeaux.
The striker worked hard up front but received little service in his 78 minutes on the pitch.
But he was also at the centre of a penalty shout just before Belgium's opening goal.
"I seen a picture there and there's two feet coming at my head. I just felt a kick in the back of the head. Then they broke and scored. I can't really comment on what I really want to say but it's frustrating," he told Off The Ball after the game.
Long ran the channels for Ireland in a fruitless role up front and was feeding on scraps.
"A lot of long balls came up, I was trying to throw myself about, trying to hold it up as best that I could and they've got two centre-backs that stay there and two central midfielders that sit in. It was a tough thing and I was just waiting for the chance to break my way and it didn't really come in the end," said the Southampton striker.
