Manchester United have indicated that they won't be in a position to announce Jose Mourinho's appointment as their new manager until tomorrow at the earliest.

Personal terms have already been agreed, but the announcement has been held up by the surprising revelation that Chelsea still own the own copyright to Mourinho's name.

The Blues held onto Mourinho's image rights as part of his severance package last December, which has proved to be an unforeseen stumbling block in United's negotiations with Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendes.

As the club wait to make the appointment official, the speculation has already started on what changes Mourinho will make.

There is still no agreement reached with Zlatan Ibrahimovic about a move to Old Trafford, despite increasing speculation of a move for the Paris Saint-Germain star, while the future of Ryan Giggs as assistant manager would also appear to be uncertain.

Earlier, Giggs' former Man United team-mate Paul Scholes expressed his hope that the Welshman would stay involved at the club.
