The sporting world has come together to pay tribute to the Kerry corner-back Marc Ó Sé, who announced his retirement on Wednesday.
Ó Sé won five All-Ireland titles with Kerry, and played in 88 Championship matches. He holds the record of most championship games played, with older brother Tomás.
The 2007 Player of the Year, Ó Sé played over 170 times for his county.
"If you told me as a child that I would go on and win All Ireland's with my heroes I would have said I was dreaming so to be able to do that has been one of the greatest thrills of my life." Ó Sé said in a statement. "To play alongside some of the greatest players to ever play the game is something I will always cherish."
He will continue to play club football for An Gaeltacht.

Marc O Se had a bit of everything but perhaps his greatest talent was that he made you want to be a back. And no one wants to be a back.

Possibly the biggest honour for Marc Ó Sé was that he was the only Ó Sé to make Weeshie's all-time classiest Kerry XV in his new book
