The stars walking the red carpet at last night’s Golden Globes ceremony were not the only ones in Tinseltown to make a public stand in the name of freedom of expression. While several high-profile actors brandished Je suis Charlie placards, the long-running animated series The Simpsons also pledged its support to the victims of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris last week.
Last night’s episode, a Judd Apatow spec script written by the writer-director 24 years ago, closed the episode Bart’s Best Friend with the following visual tribute to France and the satirical magazine:
