With the return of the Premier League, Off The Ball had a very special Saturday panel, as three players with a wealth of experience joined the lads to talk about the start of the season. 

Matt Holland, John Hartson and Kenny Cunningham spoke to Ger Gilroy ahead of the return of Premier League Central on Setanta Sports, where you can catch up on all the action from the day's games, but the chat also turned to other topics ahead of the return of the football season. 

All the guys talked about the delicate balance in the dressing room when it comes to wages and bringing in big name transfers to up the quality of the team, a situation faced by Bournemouth and the other promoted teams this season, as well as some of the sides who didn't play to their potential last season. Motivation and money are also key elements to life as a professional player, something which the panel also turned its attention to after a summer full of contract negotiations and drawn out transfer sagas.

There was chat about what life after football is like, and how each of the guys managed the change from being on the training pitch and in a squad every day to suddenly have to give it up and spend a lot of time on your own, something that has given players plenty of difficulties over the years.
