The Lions got their tour of Australia off to a blistering start after a 69 - 17 win over Western Force in Perth.
Much has been made of Western Force's decision to field a weakened side but the Lions did their job by putting nine tries past the team that was cobbled together to take them on.
Brian O'Driscoll was top try-scorer for the Lions, going over for two, while Johnny Sexton, Tom Croft, Jamie Heaslip, Maku Vuinipola, Tommy Bowe, Owen Farrell and Geff Parling also got one try each.
Leigh Halfpenny was also unerring from the boot as he landed 11 out of 11 kicks .
It was not all good news for the tourists however, as Cian Healy went off on a stretcher after going over badly on his ankle and he is a doubt for the rest of the tour.
