The red carpet has been rolled out, we're all in tuxedos and the champagne is on ice.

While we wait for football's big names to arrive (assuming Cristiano Ronaldo, Manuel Neuer and co did not ignore the Facebook event invite), we have plenty of awards to hand out on Team 33.

A big year of football built around a World Cup means choices were tough, but in the end we have managed to pick winners for the best goal, best player, match of the year, shocking moment and TV personality of 2014 (congratulations to World Cup commentary cult hero Brian Kerr for making the list of nominees).

Plus we pick our Premier League XI of the season so far and look back on the 2014 World Cup.
