Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

These two have been closely matched in their last La Liga and Super Cup meetings and this tie will be equally as tight.

Barcelona may well play the quasi-4-4-2 that Graham Hunter recently described on Off The Ball but the template is clear. Barcelona will keep possession, while Atletico will press, harry and attempt to hit them on the break.

It is set up to be a fascinating contest and one goal could separate the sides over the two legs.

Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

Madrid will be gunning for revenge after last year's semi-final humiliation. And this is a very different Borussia Dortmund who have struggled with a severe spate of injuries this season.

Graham Hunter sees Real as potential candidates for a treble given their excellent form and they will be favourites when they take on the German side.

They will play the Modric-infused 4-3-3 which has been serving them so well of late against Dortmund's 4-2-3-1.

Neven Subotic who is out for the rest of the season is a big miss at the back for Dortmund, while the key midfield pair from last season's game, Ilkay Gundogan and Sven Bender, will miss out.

Paris St Germain v Chelsea

PSG have evolved from last season when they ran Barcelona close in the last-8. It is an intriguing contest between two teams which have bought success and are seen as the main dark horses by Ben Lyttleton on Off The Ball.

Jose Mourinho is a master at this stage of the tournament and will certainly be looking at annulling the impact of PSG talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

PSG and their balanced midfield three have a high average possession in Ligue 1 and the Champions League so expect a tight contest, where Chelsea sit back and attempt to hit the French side on the break.

Manchester United v Bayern Munich

The hardest draw that Man United could have got, this is as close to mission impossible as David Moyes is going to face this season.

This version of Bayern rarely do losing and have so many tactical variations within their armoury that Moyes' mind could be tied in knots.

But he will also have to contemplate playing a three-man midfield rather than the two that he favours because Bayern will swamp them in midfield even at the best of times.

Both legs could resemble the 2011 Champions League final where Barcelona had Man United pinned back for long periods.
