Sutton United have found themselves in a position where they are without a regular goalkeeper to bring into a game, just days after losing their reserve keeper Wayne Shaw.

Shaw resigned from the club on the back of a controversy which involved him eating a pie in the dugout during his side's FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.

Shaw admitted to being aware that one bookmaker offered odds of 8-1 on him eating a pie on television and that some of his friends may have placed a bet on that happening. Shaw said it was "a bit of banter."

Sutton are currently playing Torquay United, and their starting goalie Ross Worner has been withdrawn due to injury. And with no available substitute keeper to replace him, the club has been forced to improvise with other players in the squad.

A strange turn of events for the club following the 'Piegate' controversy and the score currently reads Torquay 2-2 Sutton in the second half.
