Waterford have triumphed against Cork in the Division 1 Allianz National Hurling League final at Semple Stadium.
Final score was 1-24 to 0-17, giving Waterford a comfortable ten point lead at full-time.
Pauric Mahony secured 11 of Waterford's points, while it was Tom Devine with the only goal of the game, less than ten minutes before the final whistle.
The curtain-raiser at Semple saw Galway win the Division 1 Camogie League final.
They defeated Cork on a scoreline of 2-15 to 2-12.
There was also Championship action this afternoon as the Leinster Hurling and Connacht Football competitions kicked into gear.
In the hurling, Westmeath won 2-19 to 2-17 against Carlow, while there was a cracker in Ballycastle as Antrim beat Laois on a scoreline of 5-17 to 3-22.
The football is across the Atlantic this evening, as New York welcome Galway to Gaelic Park - that commences at 8 o'clock our time.
