Man United's perennial bogey team West Ham struck again at Old Trafford today as they secured a 1-1 draw which piles more pressure on Jose Mourinho's side.

The visitors struck early when Diafra Sakho nodded in a Payet free kick in the second minute. 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic leveled for the home side who also saw manager Mourinho sent to the stands for kicking a water bottle after Paul Pogba was booked for diving.

Republic of Ireland keeper Darren Randolph starred for West Ham as he repelled a series of United attacks to secure a point for the Londoners. 

The draw leaves the Manchester club eight points behind fourth placed Arsenal while West Ham move a point clear of the drop zone.

Arsenal kept up the leaders as they eventually dispatched a game Bournemouth side at the Emirates. 

A sloppy pass from Steve Cook allowed Alexis Sanchez to open the scoring before the visitors were awarded a penalty for a foul on Callum Wilson. The striker picked himself up and slotted the ball passed Cech to level the scores.

Walcott struck for the Gunners early in the second half before Sanchez scored his second of the game to secure all three points.

Arsenal now sit in fourth place - three points off the top spot. Bournemouth are in 12th on 15 points.

Elsewhere, Stoke beat Watford 1-0 thanks to a Gomes own-goal after Charlie Adam's header hit the post and rebounded in off the Brazilian. The win leaves Stoke in 11th place while Watford are 8th.

Charlie Austin's early goal gave Southampton a 1-0 win over Everton. The Toffees sit in 7th place with Southampton in 10th.

In Scotland, Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-0 to secure the Scottish League Cup and the first part of a possible domestic treble.
