Luis Suarez's four month playing ban for biting has been upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The body has rejected an appeal to dismiss or lessen the suspension, which was given to the ex-Liverpool striker for a bite on an Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini while playing for Uruguay at the World Cup.
The Court has said, though, that the Barcelona summer signing should be allowed to train, in preparation of making his Barcelona debut.
Suarez's ban is officially due to expire on October 26th, but journalist Guillem Balague says he could still appear in a Barca shirt this month in a friendly:
The incident at the World Cup was the third time he has been sanctioned for biting, following a bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in 2013 and on PSV's Ottman Bakkal while he was at Ajax in 2010.
