Ireland's striking options appear to be shrinking ahead of Euro 2016.

Team captain Robbie Keane sat out today's training session at Turners Cross after receiving treatment for a calf injury this morning while manager Martin O'Neill has revealed that Kevin Doyle hasn't travelled with the squad to Cork and instead the striker has been placed on standby if needed.

Keane was expected to start tomorrow's warm up friendly against Belarus, but the 35-year-old instead watched his team-mates from the stands.

James McCarthy also trained separately from the rest of the squad today, while Man of the Match against the Netherlands Harry Arter limped off with a suspected groin strain.

O'Neill has also hinted that Wes Hoolahan and Daryl Murphy will probably start tomorrow.
