Earlier today Aston Villa confirmed that forward Gabby Agbonlahor has been suspended by the club, amid allegations that he attended a "laughing gas" party hours after they were relegated from the Premier League.

Today's The Sun newspaper runs pictures of him surrounded by what appears to be canisters of nitrous oxide, which is a legal high.

He didn't play in Saturday's decisive loss at Manchester United, after being placed on a specialist fitness programme.

Former Ireland manager and Villa legend, Steve Staunton told Sky Sports News, that it was easier to keep a low profile off the field after on-pitch setbacks.

"When you got a bad defeat - thankfully I was never relegated - but I'm sure anybody in our era would have had a low profile. With the phones nowadays you won't get away with it," he said.
