It will take time to sink in but St. Patrick's Athletic are waking up as Irish league champions for the first time since 1999.

The Saints beat holders Sligo Rovers at Richmond Park last night, to claim the Airtricity Premier League title with two games left to play.

Goals from Greg Bolger and Anto Flood sealed the win for the Inchicore based team if these photos are anything to go by, there'll be some sore heads this morning...
