St Patrick's Athletic have beaten their hosts Finn Harps 2-1 in tonight's Airtricity League Premier Division clash in Ballybofey.

The result lifts the Saints back into the Top Four but it was only in the second half that they broke through.

Sean Hoare's scrappy goal in the 69th minute finally broke the deadlock for the Dublin club before Mark Timlin added a second in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile, in the First Division, Cobh Ramblers beat their hosts Waterford United 2-1 at the RSC with all of the goals coming in the first half.

Meanwhile, two goals from James English helped Shelbourne to a 3-1 win over Athlone Town.
