Over 140 years after staging the event for the first time, the best golfers in the World return to the Old Course as St Andrews this week for The Open Championship.

This years event will be the 29th time the event has taken place at the home of golf with the tournament not expected to return to the university town until 2021. 

The last four men to lift the Claret Jug at the Old Course are all in action this week, with 1990 champion Nick Faldo playing at the tournament for the last time.
