Barcelona have announced a press conference for 8.30pm in which club President Sandro Rosell and sporting director Andoni Zubizaretta are expected to announce the departure of head coach Tito Vilanova.

The manager who was treated for cancer last season is set to be temporarily replaced by assistant coach Rubi who recently joined the club's backroom team.

Despite his health problems, Vilanova led Barcelona to the La Liga title last season, equalling the all-time points record.
