The Ireland Women's team have suffered a heavy loss to Spain in their latest Euro 2017 qualifier.

Despite a string of saves from Ireland captain Emma Byrne, Sue Ronan's side were beaten 3-0 today at the Tallaght Stadium.

Vicky Losada, Jennifer Hermoso and Olga Garcia scored for Spain.

The defeat leaves Ireland in third place in Group B, three points behind joint leaders Spain and Finland.

Ireland's only win of the campaign so far came against Portugal last month.
