Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo has been banned for three games by the Football Association, after a touchline spat during last month's match at Newcastle.

The 27-year-old striker has been found guilty on a charge of violent conduct, and must also pay €48,000.

Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman was also fined, and warned as to his future conduct.

Osvaldo has scored three goals in 13 Premier League games since making the move from Roma in the summer.

The Italy international has not played since the Newcastle match through illness but has returned to full training.
