It was one of the shows that undoubtedly kicked off this golden age of television so it really is no wonder that the creator of the Sopranos is talking about a possible prequel to the series.
According to Time, David Chase has been talking about a prequel to the famed show for some time but has now teased more details.
“There are a couple of eras that would be interesting for me to talk about, about Newark, New Jersey,” he said in an interview with the Associated Press.
“One would be (the) late ’60s, early ’70s, about all the racial animosity, or the beginning, the really true beginning of the flood of drugs.”
Previously he discussed what characters he would include: “It would be with Tony’s father, and Uncle Junior, and Livia–Tony’s mother–long before any of the other characters we know now.”
This has been promised to us for too long.
