Shamrock Rovers have battled their way to a scoreless draw in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier.

The Hoops have come away from Luxembourg as a string of second half saves by goalkeeper Craig Hyland helped them to force a draw against FC Progrès Niederkorn in their first round qualifier.

The closest that Rovers got to an away goal was in the first half when Mikey Drennan hit the woodwork.

The return leg will take place at the Tallaght Stadium next week.
