It looks like Chelsea are looking to bolster their midfield as Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk confirmed that the struggling Londoners have begun talks for Alex Teixeira.
The 25-year-old is available for a fee of at least £30M (€40M) mark as Chelsea look to bolster their squad in January to end a start to the season which has left them just one point above the relegation zone after last night's defeat to league leaders Leicester City.
"Alex is now worth more than €40m," said Shakhtar manager Mircea Lucescu, while the club have confirmed that negotiations have begun.

The attacking midfielder has been at Shakhtar since 2010, scoring an impressive 26 goals in 25 games in all competitions for the Ukrainians in the 2015-16 season so far.
