Sergio Aguero will serve a three-match ban for violent conduct after the FA rejected his appeal for violent conduct against West Ham last week.

The Manchester City striker will now miss out on one more game that initially slated to, which is against Swansea, and will also miss the Manchester derby on Saturday September 10th and City's game against Bournemouth at the Etihad also.

Pep Guardiola might have to innovate as Kelechi Iheanacho, 19, is his only other striker in the squad. The Spanish manager infamously played Lionel Messi in what became known as a 'false nine' position when managing Barcelona and he could opt to do the same with impressive winger Raheem Sterling.

City decided to take the chance on appealing the decision made for violent conduct against Aguero when he appeared to elbow Winston Reid in their clash with West Ham that ended in a 3-1 victory.
