Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern are fifth overall in the men's 49er sailing class.

The Irish pair managed a 13th place finish in Race 7 followed by a 7th in Race 8.

In the women's 49er competition, an improved sixth place finish for Andrea Brewster and Saskia Tidey in Race 8 after a 19th place finish in Race 7 has the duo staying 12th overall.
