Former Formula One star Michael Schumacher has shown "moments of consciousness" after months in a coma.
His agent Sabine Kehm said the F1 champion is continuing to make a positive recovery after a skiing accident just after Christmas.
Doctors began the process of gradually awakening Schumacher more than nine weeks ago in the understanding that it can be a long and drawn out process.
“Michael is making progress on his way. He shows moments of consciousness and awakening," said Kehm in a statement today.
She also emphasized that doctors and family remain "confident".
The 45-year-old is still in intensive care in a French hospital.
