Team Ireland's Sara Treacy has finished 17th in the Women's 3000 metre steeplechase in Rio.

The 27-year-old finished in a time of 9:52.70 which is just over 10 seconds off her personal best time of 9:39.41.

The Meath athlete had made the final after a successful appeal after a fall in the semi-final when an athlete tripped in front of her, causing Treacy and an Ethiopian athlete to fall.
